Lady of the Green Kirtle, the main villain of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair by C. S. Lewis.
I don't know why but I like the witches of Narnia books, they are very interesting. Yeah, they are evil, but so cool too
I'd like to paint my version of Jadis, the White Witch, but the movie version always interferes in my design (Tilda Swinton does a great interpretation). Something similar happens to me with the daughter of Ramandu (poor character, in the books she didn't have her own name... and in the movie they name her 'Lilliandil'... I don't like it! >_<)
I agree with uberlutra -- this is one of the best drawings of the Lady of the Green Kirtle I've ever seen. I'm in love with her gorgeous blonde hair and green eyes! LOL. Anyway, I agree with you on the name that was given to Ramandu's daughter -- I don't like it even though Liliandil a pretty name! In my "The Chronicles of Narnia" fanfiction-series (I haven't published it yet on [link] which is the fanfiction-site where I am most active), I rename her Aevagael. Besides, my series (called "The Guardians of Narnia") is more book-universe than movie-universe. ~PromptDreamer
Thank you! I like the name that you've given to Ramandu's daughter! Aevagael suits very well for the character, it sounds like an ancient name, full of mystery and a touch of sweetness... It's a great name When you publish your "The guardians of Narnia" series, will you pass me the link to read it please?
Man this is fantastic! One of the best drawings of the Lady I've ever seen. I love how you've done her clothing. And what great hair! I have such an odd fascination with that book. Poor Rilian, so much psychological trauma.
Thank you! I got some inspiration from the clothes of the Telmarine people from Prince Caspian's movie. I thought that the Green Lady would wear the same clothes as any other telmarine lady to avoid suspicions xDD I share your fascination with this book, and with how this witch subjugates the poor Rilian... I'd love to see the movie adaptation just to see how they portray the Lady!!
